Dawn's Details: A theme for this piece was "simplicity".
To start with, her outfit is very basic. No spikes, chains, lace, or other dangly bits. :) Though of course fishnets always take awhile to draw in.
Also her colors are very simple. Mostly black with a little pop of blue in the jacket, but that makes for a really nice contrast with her light blonde hair.
At first I wasn't planning to do a background, then I thought it needed a little something else--but not too much.
I didn't want anything detailed or distracting, so literally just drew some circles to simulate her canary cry, and used green as a nod to Green Arrow... and it worked nicely as a contrasting color for the background.
