Dawn's Details: This was a commission piece for a wonderful woman who loves all things mermaid! I don’t draw mermaids often, so I really tried to get in her headspace & paint in a way that would make her happy.

Mixing green & purple translucent watercolor together can sometimes create a rather muddy look, so I used some pearlescent watercolor paint as well which is still transluscent, but has a bit more body to it & a bit easier to control.

I had no idea how to paint bubbles, so to YouTube I went, learned & did it! I highly recommend YouTube for any art questions you may have—especially if you’re stuck & need to learn right away!
